2. Nature and Purpose of the Organisation

The DARI Association has been established by its founders with the purpose of operating as a non-profit organisation under Swiss law (Art. 60 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code). The Association was founded with the express purpose of preparing the institutional, organisational, and intellectual groundwork for the creation of the DARI Foundation - a charitable foundation under Swiss law dedicated to preparing humankind for the coexistence with superintelligent artificial intelligence and to preserving and advancing the human essence in a future shared with superintelligent machines.

Until the DARI Foundation is formally and conclusively established under Swiss law, the DARI Association acts in a preparatory capacity. In this role, the Association operates this website, develops and advances projects, implements strategic plans, conducts public communications, engages with prospective partners and supporters, and undertakes all activities necessary to bring the Foundation into existence and ensure its readiness to fulfil its mission from the moment of its formal establishment.

All references on this website to “DARI Foundation”, “DARI”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refer, unless otherwise stated, to the DARI Association acting in its preparatory capacity for the DARI Foundation. Upon formal establishment of the DARI Foundation, all rights, obligations, and activities currently held or conducted by the DARI Association in this context will be transferred to the Foundation in accordance with applicable Swiss law.
